A Lover Was Born
Here's a treat from Lee Dorsey called 'A Lover was Born.' You may recognize this as the sample for Lord Finesse's 'Strictly for the Ladies.' As far as I know, this song only appears on this 7" and is not included on any of his albums, with the exception of later compilations. The track is produced and arranged by Allen Toussaint, so it definitely has that funky Meters vibe.

Shortie No Mas
This one came out on Track Team Records in 2002, but sounds like it could have been a bonus track from 1994's 'Buhloone Mind State' LP, where Shortie No Mas first made an appearance. I remember her being on 'In the woods,' and doing some adlibs on 'Ego Trippin.' She also did some work on the first Roots LP. This track here was produced by the Beatminerz, and uses a mellow Cal Tjader or MJQ sample. Just sold this on discogs figured I'd share the rip, Enjoy..

Stretch & Bobbito Hot 97 (w/Fat Joe & Big Pun)
Here's a Boogie and The Barber episode from May, 1997. Fat Joe and Big Pun were in the studio promoting 'Capital Punishment,' but no freestyles.. Peace to Greg T on this one.
