Thrust - Do You Understand (SCAM Remix)
I've been after this one since it came out in 1996, and finally caught a copy at a good price. This is a pretty rare release by Thrust from Canada. A lot of his stuff was produced by Frankenstein, but this remix was done by SCAM. He used a different part of the same Billy Cobham sample 'Heather' that was used for Souls of Mischief's '93 Til Infinity, and always liked the flip.

Re-Up: The Showdown
There was a flea market on Rt 1/9 here in Jersey (US1) that used to sell records and mixtapes. This is a mixtape I copped there sometime in 95, DJ Iroc with 'The Showdown'. There is a bunch of exclusive freestyles he's got on there, KRS, Method Man, Pete Rock, Shyeim, Channel Live, Bootcamp, Cella Dwellas, O.C., King Just, 10 Theives; definitely worth a listen.
Thanks to Digital Stimulation for the re-up

R.I.P. Murals
Shout out to all the graffiti artists who do R.I.P. murals, and credit due to all the artists and photographers on these. Some of them may not necessarily be 'R.I.P.' murals like the Big L, as much as tributes, but you get the idea. Here are some of my favorites. If I've missed any good ones, drop a link in the comments..

Shabaam Sahdeeq
I could have sworn Shabaam Sadheeq was representing Teaneck, NJ, or Jersey City, but the internet says Brooklyn. I was listening to a Stretch show from 1997 and this track came up. I did a little research to see this wasn't on any of the Rawkus 12"s or any of his 12"s that came out around this time. Probably due to sample clearance? I liked the flip of Bobby Hutcherson's 'Montara,' and I'm thinking Nick Wiz did the beat on this, because it sounds like his drum kit. If anyone knows if this was white labeled, or anything else about it, please let me know. I'm calling it 'On a Mission,' because I don't know the title.

Stretch & Bobbito 8-31-1995
Shout to DJ Eclipse, posting this treat. DJ Riz puts down a two hour set of treats, Bobbito runs through the demo corner, and then Eclipse plays the beats for the freestyle session featuring Fat Joe, Big Pun, Armageddon, Keith Nut, and Rated R. I remember hearing this one live and having my tape run out halfway through the freestyles. Still, it was one of the most memorable shows. As Bobbito has said, this was the first time anyone heard Big Pun outside of the Terror Squad, his first radio appearance. He would have been 44 today, R.I.P. Big Pun.

Ol Dirty & Rza on Stretch & Bobbito
Re-Re-Up: Stretch & Bobbito Hot 97 show from November 1998 with special guests the Rza, promoting his 'Bobby Digital' LP, and Ol Dirty promoting 'Cocaine.' Dirty is nuts on this one. The tape also features ACD and L.E.S., probably from the following week. As always big shout to Stretch & Bobbito..
