Diezzle Don & Tha Govna
Here's an early track from Newark's own Diezzle Don and The Govna. I took this one off a 1993 Stretch & Bobbito show. Not sure if this saw any kind of release on vinyl or LP. I've been trying to find out where it came from, so if anyone knows let me know. Enjoy..

Underground Railroad (Tom Kat)

Here's another Underground Railroad show with Tom Kat playing some original breaks. This is some time in 1999 I'm guessing.

Halftime Show - Nov 1998 (w/Method Man & Redman)
This tape has a few pause edits but I did catch the entire freestyle session with Redman, Method Man and Loose, which runs about 25 minutes. 60 minutes altogether on this early Halftime Show (WNYU, 89.1) with
DJ Riz , DJ Eclipse and Lynn Gonzalez.

Rahzel & Powerrule Freestyles Hot 97 1998
Stretch and Bobbito would often double/triple book different artists on the same night. If they shared the same air time, you might hear an odd combination of MC's but it usually worked out well. This session from 'Boogie and the Barber' on June 14, 1998 features Rahzel of the Roots and Powerule.

Dujeous - Cinematics

This track is from a hip hop band called Dujeous. If you listened to Stretch & Bobbito circa 1996 this song should be familiar to you. I remember being really impressed when I saw these guys perform this song live at the Wetlands back in the day. Enjoy..

Stretch & Bobbito 10-10-1996
Here's another Stretch & Bobbito show from around the 6 year anniversary. Bobbito is in the studio solo playing the best freestyles from 1995-1996, along with some live performances, demos, and other exclusive treats. You get about 2 hours on this one. Peace to Greg T.

Big City Records, NJ
I usually don't hype events, releases or stores, but I definitely want to see this store stay in business...
Big City Records has been around since November of last year. Not sure if there is an affiliation with the Big City Records in NY, but the store is kind of like the NJ version. They have a good amount of Rock, Soul, Jazz, Disco and Hip Hop, and not a bullshit selection.
I stopped by the store for the first time this Saturday. I didn't get a chance to go through all of the boxes thoroughly, but I breezed through the hip hop crates and caught a 'What's Next' Extra P remix for $3 and the 'Kaught in the AK' Premier remix for $1. New Jersey does not have a good amount of record stores surviving, so if you are in the NJ area check these guys out.
